Summaries of the most recent EC meeting minutes have been posted to the jcp.org site for viewing by
JCP members. Use your participant password to access these documents. The most recent additions
are from the Dec and January teleconference meetings.

There are several new JSRs being developed through the JCP program. You can nominate to
serve on the expert group of these JSRs by clicking on the "Join Expert Group" link on the
JSR detail page urls listed below. You can also request to join the Observer Alias of JCP 2.6
JSRs by emailing the spec lead (listed on the JSR detail page).
- JSR 270, J2SE 6.0 Release Contents,
is now available for review. This JSR is the
Umbrella JSR for the J2SE 6.0 ("Mustang") release;
this JSR will not itself define any new features or enhancements; it will, rather,
enumerate features and enhancements defined in other JSRs or through the JCP
maintenance process.
- JSR 220, Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0,
is now available for a second Early Draft Review.The purpose of Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) 3.0 is
to improve the EJB architecture by reducing its complexity from the developer's point of view.
This review closes 10 March.
- JSR 224, Java API for
XML-Based RPC (JAX-RPC) 2.0, is now available for Early Draft Review.
The JAX-RPC 2.0 specification extends the existing JAX-RPC 1.0 specification with new features.
This review closes 6 March.
- JSR 243, Java Data Objects 2.0,
Public Review Reconsideration Ballot in process. The
ballot is scheduled to close 28 February.
- JSR 223, Scripting for the Java
Platform, is now available for Public Review.
The specification will describe mechanisms allowing
scripting language programs to access information developed in the Java
Platform and allowing scripting language pages to be used in Java
Server-side Applications. This review closes
25 March.
- JSR 228, Information
Module Profile - Next Generation (IMP-NG), is now available
for Public Review. This specification will define a profile
that will extend and enhance the "J2ME
Information Module Profile" (JSR-195). This review closes 7 March
- JSR 170, Content
Repository for Java technology API, Proposed Final Draft is now available
for download. This JSR specifies a standard API to access content
repositories in Java 2 independently of implementations.
