Daniel deOliveira |
Daniel DeOliveira (DrJUG) is the founder and has been the JUG Leader, since February 1998, of the Federal District Java Users Group - DFJUG, one of the largest in the world, with over 40,000 members. Pedagogue with a specialization in Elementary school education, licence in Disability in the Audio Communication, and MSc in Knowledge Management and Information Technology from the Catholic University of Brasilia. Author of a Java book, writes in technical magazines and has been an international speaker, with several participations at JavaOne (USA), ERA National Conference (India) and ISAD Multi-Stakeholder Forum (South Africa). Study the Communities of Practice - CoP or, in other words, the dynamics of Java User Groups. One of the creators of the Rybena solution, software that transforms words into sign language and allows blind and deaf people to communicate through a mobile phone. Responsible for JEDI (Java Education and Development Initiative). Computer course, based on free and open distance learning, in the seven Portuguese speaking countries. Currently doing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Kent, in Canterbury (UK), with the group that created the BlueJ and Greenfoot. |
