Expert Group David Campelo I have Master's Degree in Science Computing (M.Sc) and 10+ years of experience in TI, working on reputable companies in Brazil as experienced developer and researcher in innovative technologies for distance learning, Virtual Reality and Participative TV. Also, I am a Digital TV/IPTV specialist with more than 8 years of experience. Author of articles published in magazines and congresses I've also contributed to the JavaDTV Specification and the SBTVD Standard. In the past 5 years, I've been working as technical leader of AstroTV Middleware, a commercial implementation of the Brazilian Standard for Interactive DigitalTV, leading teams ranging from 2 to 10 people (developers, designers, testers), sometimes working with geographically separated teams (USA, China, Japan, etc), accountable for making things happen. He has worked for more than 22 years as a project manager, software architect, analyst and consultant on leading-edge technologies for Banking, Insurance, Telco/Mobile, Media and Public sector. Werner develops enterprise systems using Java, JEE, Oracle, IBM or Microsoft, does Web design and development using Adobe,Ajax/JavaScript, dynamic or functional languages. Besides working for major companies, he runs his own creative and talent agency Creative Arts & Technologies and in his spare time, runs and supports open-source projects, writes song lyrics, novels, screenplays, technical books and articles. Expert Group Yagamy Huang Yagamy is a Senior Engineering Director at Aplix Corporation with more than 10 years of working in Java ME area. He develops first commercial MIDP1 and MIDP2/JTWI stack for Taiwanese phone manufacturers, and leads JBlend product pre-integrated with Qualcomm, MediaTEK, and Infineon mobile platforms. He and his team also built the first MIDP3 reference implementation and technology-compatibility-kit for worldwide mobile phone manufacturers to push next generation MIDP. Expert Group Erkki Rysä Erkki Rysä has more than 20 years of experience of software development, most of which in the wireless industry and mobile platforms. He holds an M.Sc. from Tampere University of Technology. Erkki was 18 years with Nokia where he held various positions in software R&D and technology management. Expert Group Stefano Andreani Stefano Andreani started his professional activity in HP Labs in Bristol as a researcher. Afterwards he worked for several years as a consultant for Hutchison Group ("3"), managing the specification process and quality assurance of the application stack of the handsets (and their JVMs). In 2003 he founded OPENTECH, a software development company focused on mobile application development. Stefano holds a MS degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy. Expert Group Hernan Perrone Being a Java user since 1999, I have had the chance to work with SE, EE and ME technologies. During the last 8 years I have been mainly focused in embedded systems, acting as developer and software architect in projects targeting mobile phones and digital TV receivers, growing along these years a depth expertise in digital TV systems. Currently, I am the project manager at TOTVS responsible for the development/evolution of an implementation of the Ginga Interactive DTV Middleware. Also, currently, I am the TOTVS representative in the Technical Module of the Brazilian DTV System (SBTVD) Forum and coordinator responsible for the maintenance of ABNT standards related to Ginga-J specification (the Java based execution engine of the Brazilian Interactive Middleware). Apart from knowledge and practical experience with ME technologies I can contribute with my experience in writing specification and with product interoperability and legacy management when evolving broadly adopted standards.
