The Java Community Process (JCP) program applauds the community's Star Spec Leads.
These leaders earned this honor through their efficient, prompt, and transparent
communication with their Expert Group, the Program Management Office (PMO), and the
Executive Committee (EC). They used community web pages, observer aliases, and other
tools to communicate with their expert group, the JCP program community, and the public.
They kept their Java Specification Requests (JSRs) on schedule by making sure their team
stayed focused and felt appreciated. The JCP program congratulates and honors these Star
Spec Leads. |

Ivar Grimstad is a Java Champion, Oracle Groundbreaker Ambassador and JUG Leader working as Principal Consultant for
Cybercom Group in Sweden. He is the PMC Lead for Eclipse Enterprise for Java (EE4J) and a member of the Jakarta EE
Working Group. Ivar is also an Apache NetBeans Committer.
Ivar has been a member of the JCP since 2007 and has served as Expert Group Member for a number of JSRs. He also a
member of the Executive Committee where he holds an associate seat. Since 2017, he has been the Spec Lead for JSR 371
(MVC 1.0) together with Christian Kaltepoth. The specification was transferred from Oracle to Ivar after the second
Early Draft Review had been passed. Ivar and Christian have completed a Public Review and a Proposed Final Draft of
the specification. The reference implementation has been donated to the Eclipse Foundation under the EE4J umbrella
project and been renamed to Eclipse Krazo. The TCK is currently being worked on and as soon as the test coverage is
complete, a final version of the specification will be released.
