WHAT: The JCP Program Management Office (PMO) announced the winners of the 2014 JCP Program Annual Awards, which took place at the JCP program community party at the JavaOne conference. The JCP program introduced the Annual Awards in 2003 to recognize excellence in Java platform standards development and innovation. Since its launch in 1998 as the open, inclusive process to develop and revise Java technology specifications, reference implementations, and technology compatibility kits, the Java Community Process (JCP) program has fostered the evolution of the Java platform in cooperation with the international Java platform developer community.
