The Java Community Process (JCP) Program Management Office, today announced the final results of the 2013 JCP Executive Committee (EC) elections. All ratified candidates are approved by the JCP membership: Credit Suisse, Ericsson, Freescale, Fujitsu, Gemalto M2M, Goldman Sachs, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Nokia, Red Hat, SAP, Sociedade de Usuários da Tecnologia Java - SouJava, Software AG, TOTVS and V2COM. The winning candidates for the eight open election seats are: ARM, Azul Systems, CloudBees, Eclipse Foundation, Werner Keil, London Java Community, MoroccoJUG and Twitter. The Executive Committee changeover will take place between 29 October and 11 November, with the new EC members taking office on 12 November. EC members guide the evolution of the Java technologies by approving and voting on all technology proposals (Java Specification Requests, or JSRs). They are also responsible for defining the JCP's rules of governance and the legal agreement between members and the organization. They provide guidance to the Program Management Office (PMO) and they represent the interests of the JCP to the broader community.
