JSR #371
Model-View-Controller (MVC 1.0) Specification
JSR Renewal Ballot
Ballot duration: 2016-11-29 to: 2016-12-12
Special Vote Instructions:
Dear EC members,
We are reaching out to you to request your approval of the
continuation of JSR 371 in a renewal ballot.
The main goal of JSR 371 is to provide a standardized action-based
Model-View-Controller framework.
JSR 371 has successfully completed two Early Draft releases, and,
while its current specification leads have been diverted to other
tasks, the expert group has continued to be very active and has made
considerable progress in addressing open issues. The expert group
discussions can be viewed here:
https://java.net/projects/mvc-spec/lists/jsr371-experts/archive
When Oracle recently announced plans to discontinue this JSR, we heard
from many impassioned community members that they would like to see
the work of this JSR continue.
Oracle therefore plans to seek a new specification lead to whom this
JSR can be transferred. In the meantime, we request that the renewal
ballot for this JSR be approved so that the JSR will not be
terminated.

These are the final results of the JSR Renewal Ballot for JSR #371.
The EC has approved this ballot.
