Special Vote Instructions

As announced at JavaOne 2016, our intention is to complete JSR 374.

Although the JSR is has thus far completed only an Early Draft, it has already addressed all of the items proposed in its JSR submission, specifically the following:

* Support current spec for JSON (RFC 7159)
* Support for JSON Pointer (RFC 6901)
* Support for JSON Patch (RFC 6902)
* Support for a streaming API, together with Collectors
* Editing/transformation operations for JSON objects and arrays
* Support for processing big JSON, e.g. add filters to JSON parsing

In addition, it includes support for the more recent JSON Merge Patch standard (RFC 7396).

We expect to resume activity shortly, and steer this JSR through any remaining issues and related enhancements that need to be addressed.

We are expecting to submit a Public Review at the beginning of 2017.
