I have been an Apache Tomcat committer since November 2003. I initially worked on Tomcat in my free time but since August 2008 I have been employed by SpringSource (now part of Pivotal) to work on Apache Tomcat. I spend most of my time working on Tomcat but I also work on tc Server, Pivotal's Servlet & JSP container based on Apache Tomcat. Additionally, I lead the Pivotal security team.
I am the Apache Tomcat 8 release manager where I try to release a new version every month or so. I am currently focused on Tomcat 9 development which will support the new versions of the Servlet, JSP, EL and WebSocket specifications (assuming there are new versions of each for JavaEE 8). I was a member of the JCP expert groups for JSR 340, JSR 341 and JSR 356. |

Alexander Tyshchenko |
Hi, my name is Alexander Tyshchenko.
I have a great passion to java. I have been working with java technologies more than six years. Java did and do for me a lot. And now I decided to not just using, but also helping improving java enterprise technologies by my contribution in java community. I work as Senior Java Developer (contractor, I have my own company Tyshchenko, Inc.) in Dukascopy Swiss Bank (http://www.dukascopy.com/). At my work a lot of time I work with java servlet technologies, that is why I decided to contribute into JSR369. Starting from 2014 I am a member of the Architecture Committee in Dukascopy Swiss Bank. In Dukascopy java is our main technology platform and as a member of Architecture Committee I participate in many discussions and decision-making processes about software architecture. On my initiative in the Committee we started the process of integration the SonarQube platform in Dukascopy. Also for me HTTP2 is very interesting technology. And I want to say that maybe I do not have such experience and qualification as many Expert Members, but I really want to be a part of java community and push forward java technologies, make world better and have a fun.a |

Arjan Tijms |
I studied computer science at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands and have worked with Java EE for over a decade.
I'm a member of the JSF 2.3 EG and maintain several Java EE focussed blogs (jdevelopment.nl and arjan-tijms.omnifaces.org). I'm one of the OmniFaces developers, which is a utility framework for JSF but like JSF itself leans on Servlet as well. I'm incubating a security related library called OmniSecurity, in which the Servlet API plays an important role. |

I've been a heavy servlets user/developer pretty much since inception and a former Glassfish team member. I'm familiar with the semantics of the servlet spec and a passive follower of the http 2 developments. I was also on the JSR 356 EG which, I believe, Servlet 4 and HTTP 2 will ultimately disrupt. |

I have specifically implemented a number of features for Jetty including jndi, annotations processing, maven integration, osgi integration, jsp integration, jaas, session management, and all aspects of servlet 3.0 and servlet 3.1 specifications above the io layer.
I have been an observer of the servlet specifications EG since servlet 2.5, contributing via the mailing lists and issue tracker and would like to be more involved in the specification formation. |
