PROPOSED CHANGES

Scripting for the Java platform started as a standalone JSR. The javax.script API has been part of JDK since JDK 6. The current proposal is to merge JSR 223 as part of JDK 9 JSR. There won't be a standalone JSR for Scripting. Changes, if any, will be tracked as part of JDK JSR in future.
