We apologize that this No vote is being made late. If our concerns are shared, we would be happy to have a more detailed discussion now. Otherwise, we're hoping to raise awareness for the next round. 

Clearly, there is a market need for this JSR. However, BEA has the following reservations: 
 - The name. By putting J2EE in the title, we're suggesting it will be folded it into J2EE (a seperate decision, we'd argue). While that is the place for it over time, we question whether the JSR's maturity warrents near term inclusion. 
 - Technology immaturity. We are not aware of any commercial products in significant deployment that provide this functionality. No doubt a standard is still needed, but we worry that this remains more of a research problem for now.
 - This JSR does not intend to formalize APIs for workflow/long running transactions. However, our concern is whether we know enough today to formalize the underlying mechanism on which to build these higher-level solutions.
