The Public Review draft of the Batch specification uses annotations in a way that is not consistent with other annotation usage in the Java EE platform. The spec lead has assured Oracle that this issue will be addressed before the final release of the Batch specification. With
 this in mind, Oracle supports the Public Review of the Batch specification and thanks IBM for its contribution to the Java EE platform.
