Fujitsu is concerned about the schedule and the lack of any response to posted comments.

On 2000-08-28 IBM voted No with the following comment:
First, the schedule is too aggressive.  We have not yet seen a draft spec for this JSR.  Assuming that the expert group gets going in early September, it is much more realistic and reasonable to put the member review date back at least to November-December and the public review to January-February.  Even this is highly aggressive and assumes that the expert group can be up and running in early September.  

Second, the JSR proposal makes no mention of IIOP as a transport protocol for RMI.  It should be an explicit goal of the new facilities that they fully support RMI over IIOP.

We are in support of a revised JSR but cannot support this one as currently written.
