JSR 205 is a natural extension of JSR 120 to support multimedia messaging. We urge the spec lead of JSR 205 to work closely with the spec lead of JSRs 165 and 187 in the elaboration of the functional specifications and the API design to avoid unnecessary overlapping and also to have a harmonious co-existence of these messaging APIs within the J2ME portfolio.
