Minutes and summary from previous meetings

The meeting minutes and summary for the November and December meetings were approved.

Follow-up on December workshop

The EC briefly discussed the next steps to be taken after the December workshop on the future of the JCP.

2007 activities summary (presentation)

Patrick presented a summary of the JCP's activities during 2007.

EC stats (Liz Kiener: PMO)

Liz Kiener presented the usual monthly JSR statistics.

Personnel changes.

Jyri Lassi (jyri.lassi@nokia.com) replaces Dietmar Tallroth as Nokia's alternate on the Java ME EC.

BenQ/Qisda JSRs (Orange France)

Cuithlauac Alvarado led a brief discussion on the situation with BenQ/Qisda JSRs.

Spec Lead presentation (Roger Kitain)

Roger Kitain gava a presentation on JSR 314 (postponed from the December meeting). Patrick expressed the ECs thanks to Roger for accommodating our changing schedules.

Schedules and locations for 2008 face to face meetings

The EC agreed on the schedules and locations for the next year's face-to-face meetings:

  • May 20-21 2008 in Paris, France (hosted by Orange France)
  • September 25-26 2008 on the US East Coast (host and exact location TBD)
  • January 13-14 2009 on the US West Coast host and exact (location TBD)
