This draft was available for Public Review as per Section 7 of the Java Community Process^SM Program, version 1. However, the Java Image I/O Specification is available only as part of the Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition, version 1.4 Beta.

The Java Image I/O API Specification will become final when the J2SE V1.4 release as a whole becomes final.
