Java in Education

Heather reviewed the summary of discussions in the Java in Education group; we reviewed materials for JUG leaders focused on how some Java User Groups are embracing new developers and students and some updates to the presentation on modern Java features. All are published on the Java in Education wiki on GitHub.

Heather leads a monthly discussion with Java User Group (JUG) leaders to discuss the workshops they are organizing in their local communities and provide guidance and best practices; the next discussion is December 17.

Java Ecosystem Working Group

Heather reviewed the Java Ecosystem Working Group wiki page and the next meeting date, December 17 with a discussion and updates from Gradle and Jenkins. January 14, 2025 as a subsequent working group meeting is scheduled with a discussion on Maven.

Java on Arm

Sanjay Alladwar shared updates (see the presentation for details).
