JCP Business Value Working Group Meeting Minutes for August 19, 2019

Review EC Member perspectives on how we can communicate the value of the JCP program to the continued success of Java.

Minutes

Heather reviewed the summary from our last meeting. Brian discussed the importance of the specifications and that we need EC Members to take a more active role in the spec review/comments, and also in the value of adopting new versions of Java. We confirmed plan to create some short videos of the EC Members talking about the importance of the JCP program and compatibility on the afternoon of the EC meeting on 13 September. Heather will follow up to see if we can highlight at Code One keynote, and through any other speaking opportunities. One other opportunity is the EC Elections process that runs through November. Steve requested that Heather make the slides on this Working Group from the May EC Meeting available to EC Members for their use.
